Painting Volunteer Description
Painting Volunteers help improve and maintain Food Bank facilities by assisting with painting projects inside warehouse and office spaces. These projects create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for volunteers, staff, partners, and community members who visit our facilities.
As a Painting Volunteer you will:
-Assist with painting walls, doors, trim, and other designated surfaces
-Follow instructions from Food Bank staff regarding project scope and safety procedures
-Clean brushes, rollers, and other supplies after use
-Help return work areas to their original condition upon project completion
Physical Requirements
-Ability to stand for extended periods
-Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive painting motions
-Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
Training and Supervision
Volunteers will receive project-specific instructions and safety guidance from Food Bank staff at the beginning of the shift. Staff members will be available throughout the project to provide support and answer questions.
