Who We Are

The Quarry Gardens is a 40-acre natural area and botanical garden of locally native plant communities built around six abandoned soapstone quarries within a 600-acre preserve. QGs is owned and operated by the Quarry Gardens Foundation a 501C3 non-profit.

What We Do

Opened to the public in 2017, we: —Assist the natural process of plant and habitat restoration —Showcase native plant communities for public education and enjoyment —Maintain records of plants and animals as a resource for study —Make local plant genotypes available to others through propagation —Support research on the area’s species and habitats
