Veterans Collaborative

Veterans Collaborative, headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, is a nonprofit organization with regional, state, and national reach. We are committed to increasing local access to resources and opportunities for Veterans, military-connected individuals, and the nonprofits that serve them.

Founded by a military spouse and social impact leader—Veterans Collaborative was established to address critical gaps in support for Veteran-serving organizations, particularly those led by and serving Veterans and military families.

Our vision is to build a more connected, equitable, and effective ecosystem of care that meets Veterans and their families where they are—empowering local, community-led solutions with national impact.

Through strategic partnerships, community outreach, and capacity-building programs—including fiscal sponsorship—we support grassroots initiatives, emerging leaders, and under-resourced organizations to scale their impact.

Our core activities include:

- Fiscal Sponsorship: Providing back-office infrastructure, compliance, and funding pathways for Veteran-led charitable projects.

- Leadership Circles & Learning Communities: Facilitating peer-driven leadership development, shared learning, and collaboration across nonprofit sectors.

- Mission Forward: A networking and support series for Veteran nonprofit leaders, offering virtual and in-person engagement opportunities.

- RADAR Platform: A dynamic resource navigation tool that connects Veterans to trusted, local programs and services.

- Regional Engagement: Hosting community events, advocacy efforts, and stakeholder convenings to elevate local voices and solutions.
