Individuals, families, organizations, and companies are already feeling the effect of Covid-19. Our most vulnerable community members will be impacted the most. They will face even greater economic, income, and childcare challenges than they face on a regular basis. The United Way of Greater Charlottesville has established a Covid-19 Crisis Relief Fund to help these families.

In addition, we hope to be able to direct individuals to safe and effective volunteer opportunities where they can help their neighbors during this time. From organizations that regularly count on University of Virginia students to fill volunteer spots, to other organizations that need to create programs in response to school and job disruptions, there are ways you can help. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out this survey and the United Way of Greater Charlottesville's Community Outreach Coordinator will contact you with opportunities we deem have met community health and safety standards as recommended by the Health Department and CDC. Additionally, you can use cvillevolunteer.org  to view the Covid-19 Volunteer Opportunities subsection of this website.

We appreciate your concern and support. We know we will get through this difficult time by taking smart actions and showing compassion to one another.
