By ensuring basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter are met, individuals and families can move out of crisis and into stability. DIY volunteer projects and donation drives allow businesses, schools, churches, families and groups of all ages and sizes to participate in community service from anywhere. Our DIY projects provide the necessary essentials that individuals and families need. Please note that all projects involve some cost for supplies from your organization 

On-site do-it-yourself (DIY) volunteer projects are excellent for:

  • Team building 

  • Helping people understand the needs in our community

  • Reinforce your organization's value of giving back

DIY Volunteer projects can be incorporated into a workday by:

  • Setting up a volunteer project in a common space, like a conference or lunchroom

  • Organize a volunteer project to kick-off team or department meetings

  • Engage your team year-round!  

Our menu of Do-It-Yourself Projects includes: (Examples) 

Activity books and Puzzles kits: Ex. word searches, hidden picture books, crossword puzzles, 300–500-piece puzzles.

Simple craft kits: Ex. easy yarn hooks, large needle thread, simple 3D puzzles, Model cars or planes.

Bingo Prizes for Seniors: Ex.  Small gifts for men/women such as: personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, shave cream, shampoo, nail care items), notebooks or journals, soft socks, small gifts around themes of nature, vehicles, writing, art, music, etc.

Cleaning supplies: Ex. toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper napkins. 

Art Supply kits: Ex.  Acrylic paints, Paint trays, Modeling clay, Basic sculpting tools, Canvases for painting, Colored pencils, Markers.

Once we receive your online registration, we will:

  1. Follow up with you on or before your designated project completion date to arrange drop off or pick up.

  2. Distribute your completed project proceeds through our network of nonprofit partners to children and families in need.

 

We work with a variety of community partners to ensure as many individuals as possible will benefit from your volunteer efforts.
