Compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers are needed to tutor adults in English speaking, reading, and writing. Many also need support in preparing for the U.S. Citizenship interview. You don't need any teaching experience. Volunteers meet approximately eight hours each month with their students.
We'll train you to provide one-to-one instruction to adults in our community. Register for our next one hour Information Session here which is on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:30 pm or signup for one of our next New Tutor Trainings here on Saturdays, September 12 or November 14 from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
Note: Only one 5-hour training session is needed to start as a tutor with LVCA.
