Spring 2015 CERT Basic Training Course

The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact the Charlottesville/Albemarle area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search & rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. 

CERT Training is FREE! This 9-week course occurs every spring and fall. The basic CERT course covers:

• Disaster Preparedness
• Fire Suppression
• Basic First Aid and Disaster Medical Operations
• Ligh Search and Rescue
• Disaster Psychology
• Team Organization
• Terrorism Awareness

The spring 2015 course begins on Thursday, March 12th and occurs every Thursday for 9 weeks.
