Needs From: United Way of Greater Charlottesville

Provide cultural learning and enrichment to your Charlottesville neighbors by volunteering your time and skills at the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of U.Va., the only museum of Indigenous Australian art in the U.S.! Volunteering at the Kluge-Ruhe Collection is an opportunity to connect with the world beyond Charlottesville - all the way to Australia!

There are three ways to help at Kluge-Ruhe:

Docents prepare and give tours to the public about the museum's rotating exhibitions of Indigenous Australian art. Educational Guides provide support for the museum's various free educational programs for children and families. Gallery Attendants greet museum visitors, introduce current exhibitions, and answer questions.

Each volunteer role offers a unique opportunity to learn about Aboriginal art and share your knowledge and skills with the community.
