For youth ages 14-17 and high school students (even if you are 18 years old) who want to fulfill required school community service.
Must commit to a minimum of twelve service hours over three consecutive months.
Youth must be mature, responsible, self-directed and care deeply for animals.
Some Examples of Junior Volunteer Tasks:
laundry (wash, dry, sort and put away)
sweep/mop lobby floors and hallways
clean up throughout landscaping (scoop dog waste and pick up trash)
refill treat buckets
clean kennels (assisting a staff person)
scoop and clean cat and kitten cages (assisting a staff person)
clean small animal cages and fill water bottles
enjoy some time with kittens and puppies

We are in need of the following: Non-perishable items such as, canned soups, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned vegetables, ramen noodles, peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta and pasta sauce, pancake mix and syrup, popcorn, mac-n-cheese, trail mix, Jell-O and pudding, coffee, coffee filters, coffee creamer packets and sugar packets, small bags of chips, cookies or crackers, soda and bottled water.
