Volunteer: Volunteers Needed for Family Support Nonprofit!Reclaimed Hope Initiative is a local nonprofit that exists to serve families navigating foster care, adoption, and children with disabilities. Our goal is to bring wrap-around services to every member of the family, allowing hope, healing, and family support in order to limit burnout and secondary traumatic stress in caregivers, as well as limit the use of hospitals, residential facilities and group homes for youth with a traumatic past. Our long term vision is to prevent families from having to separate due to trauma, crisis or hardship. The success of our organization is dependent entirely on the financial support of donors and the consistency of our volunteers. We have been fortunate to sustain our programming through the COVID-19 pandemic, however we are hopeful to expand our ability to serve families in our community in a greater capacity this year with support from community members like you! We are looking for volunteers in the following categories: Help with set-up/tear down of our support group meetings. Provision of food and/or help with food prep for the children who attend our support group meetings. 2x/month on Sunday afternoons. Organization and Inventory of in-kind donations. Shopping for and Packaging supplies for children's activities. Caregivers* to assist with support groups and weekend programs 2x/month. Family Partnerships to offer tangible assistance (grocery runs, errands, cleaning, laundry, etc) to a family managing significant mental or physical health needs with their children. Racial Mentors* to pair with children who have been transracially adopted/fostered to instill greater racial identity and promote deeper cultural awareness.*Requires Training Please sign up here if you are interested in volunteering and learning more about us ! :) Thank you for your consideration!
