SNAP Benefits Education & Outreach Volunteer (Locations across Blue Ridge Area Region and Virtual)


You will help inform and connect guests to government assistance for food, so they can benefit from improved access, quantity, convenience, and choice of food. Training will be provided.


This role requires a commitment of at least 3-5 hours per week. Work schedule flexibility is available; location assignments are based on volunteer availability and willingness to travel locally. Work can be completed virtually from home.

Hosting a food drive is a fun and engaging way to fill the shelves with nutritious food to distribute to families experiencing hunger. We’re seeking people with specific qualifications, and each requires a recurring time commitment (once a month on a set schedule, ongoing, plus a few hours each month for data support).
