Description

Cutting of invasive bittersweet and honeysuckle vines climbing trees and shrubs on edges of fields.  If soil is moist small bittersweet and honeysuckle vines may be pulled by hand or with use of tools in wooded areas with patches of valued wildflowers and ferns. No prior experience is needed.  Areas with poison ivy will be avoided. Bring gardening gloves if you have them and wear a hat.  Long pants and close-toe shoes are also required.  Tools: If you have gardening gloves bring them, Ivy Creek has a limited quantity of gloves available.  Ivy Creek can provide hand pruners, loppers, and saws for about 2/3’s of the volunteers. Bring a water bottle.
