Description

Help steward the Garden site to keep it welcoming for visitors, flora, and fauna. Please bring your own gardening gloves if you can.


Tasks include:

1. Building benches with pre-cut materials. (You may wish to bring sturdy gloves and protective eye gear.)

2. Building a picnic table with pre-cut materials. (You may wish to bring sturdy gloves and protective eye gear.)

3. Helping to winterize the bees using our mason bee houses. 

4. Mulching trails and gathering areas. (Bring mulching rakes if you can.)

5. Weeding and controlling invasives. (Bring your own weed whackers, loppers, and pruners if you can.)


The Garden will provide:

-Loaner gloves and tools

-Water and other beverages

-Refreshments

-Tours of the site's plans

Q: Driving Directions
A: If the Garden gate is open, feel free to park in the area to the left of the gate. Otherwise, please use the free street parking on Melbourne Road. There is a pedestrian entrance by the crosswalk. Please wear sturdy, waterproof shoes as the site can be muddy. The gathering area will be under the large, white tent visible from the road. Check in at the registration table there.
