WorkSource is excited to host our 2nd Annual Special Needs Prom as part of this year's Day of Caring!
Last year's prom was a huge success, and our clients enjoyed it so much that we are bringing it back again this year. This event provides an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to come together for an evening of fun, celebration, inclusion, and connection.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help make this event a success. Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with event setup and decorating
- Helping with event breakdown and cleanup
- Serving food and beverages
- Taking photos throughout the event
- Setting up directional signs
- Assisting clients with hair and makeup
- Engaging with clients through dancing, socializing, and other activities
- Helping create a welcoming and memorable experience for all attendees
The event location is still being finalized, and we will update this posting as additional details become available.
Lunch and beverages will be provided for volunteers. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions by the end of August.
We look forward to partnering with volunteers to create a special day where everyone feels included, valued, and celebrated. Bring your dancing shoes! Dressing up is optional but highly encouraged.
