Who We Are
Founded in 2000 by Charlottesville natives Raphael Bell and Timothy Summers, the Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival is dedicated to bringing world-class chamber music to Charlottesville and its surrounding communities. Through its annual festival, occasional off-season concerts, and outreach programs, the Festival seeks to inspire and educate audiences of all ages, fostering a deep appreciation for the art of chamber music.
What We Do
The Virginia Chamber Music Foundation presents the annual Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival each September. This 10-14 day event, as well as occasional events throughout the year, features highly acclaimed musicians from around the world performing classical music for small ensembles at both ticketed and free concerts in venues in and around Charlottesville, as well as provide outreach programs in the community.
