Cape Ivy helps Child Life teams in hospitals provide comfort to children. Hospitals are cold. Blankets fall off or need to be held on when walking hallways. Cape Ivy provides warm ponchos that stay in place, provide access to medical equipment and bring joy to children with bright and fun prints. With focus on 1 very unique program, our all-volunteer organization has been successful in reaching over 25,000 children.
What We Do
Cape Ivy donates IV-friendly fleece ponchos to children in the hospital because robes, sweaters and jackets don’t work well with IV lines and other medical equipment. The ponchos provide warmth and comfort to hospitalized children with chronic and critical illnesses.
