Receive training to become a literacy volunteer - no teaching experience required. We will train you to tutor an adult student in reading, writing, and English acquisition skills.
Literacy Volunteers is seeking volunteer tutors to assist adults in learning how to read, write, or speak English. Many of our students are refugees and immigrants trying to become integrated members of our community. With your help, they can gain the valuable skills they need to be better workers, consumers, parents, and citizens.
Our next New Tutor Training is on Saturday, September 8 at the Jefferson School City Center. Lunch will be provided by Harvest Moon Catering. Advanced registration is required. Please call 434-977-3838 or email info@literacyforall.org to register.
