The “LOVE ALBEMARLE/KEEP VIRGINIA BEAUTIFUL” campaign will conclude in southern Albemarle. Yancey Community Center will be the hub and we are hoping to build on the spring roadside trash cleanup that we marshalled in March/April.
Unfortunately, the trash has returned since our Spring Cleanup and I’m really focusing on recruiting parents/adults and children. I think this is the only way to solve this problem long-term; therefore, it is loosely being dubbed the TRASH-TRICK AND TREATS COMMUNITY CLEANUP! Children/teens are welcome to work in costume if they so desire, but safety vest will still be mandatory.
