Compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers are needed to tutor adults in English speaking, reading, and writing. Many also need support in preparing for the U.S. Citizenship interview. You don't need any teaching experience. Volunteers meet approximately eight hours each month with their students.
We'll train you to provide one-to-one instruction to adults in our community. Register for our next one hour Information Session here which is on August 4 at 12 pm or signup for one of our next New Tutor Trainings here on Saturdays, July 25, August 22, or September 12 from 9:30 am to 3 pm. Note: Only one 5-hour training session is needed to start as a tutor with LVCA.
