Literacy Volunteers is seeking volunteer tutors to assist adults in learning how to read, write, or speak English.
If you would like to provide one-to-one instruction to adults in our community, we invite you to attend a New Tutor Training.
Many of our students are refugees and immigrants trying to become integrated community members.
No teaching experience is required. Most of our tutor/student pairs meet for two hours a week at a mutually convenient time and place. We ask for a year-long commitment. As a tutor, you will receive a rewarding experience knowing you’ve helped someone achieve their goals and improve their lives.
Advanced registration is required. Volunteers must be 18+.
