We are seeking community volunteers to help with snow removal for senior citizens and individuals with limited mobility throughout the City of Charlottesville. For many of our neighbors, snow and ice create serious safety risks and limit their ability to leave their homes for essential needs.
Volunteers will assist by clearing sidewalks, walkways, driveways, and entry points to help ensure safe access during winter weather. This is a meaningful, hands-on opportunity to support neighbors who need extra care during snow events.
Volunteer Details:
-
Service locations: Sites across the City of Charlottesville
-
Timing: Snow response as needed, based on weather conditions
-
Tools: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own snow shovels and supplies if possible
-
Safety: All volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver prior to participating
Next steps: Once you sign up, a coordinator will contact you with potential service locations and additional details
Whether you can help one household or several, your time and effort will make a real difference. Thank you for helping keep our community safe, connected, and cared for this winter.
