United Way is hosting our first United Way Family Volunteer Day on Saturday, June 21 from 10am-2pm at Albemarle High School. This event will give families the opportunity to bring younger children to learn about volunteering and community needs. Local nonprofits will be set up with tables for kids to complete service projects, like making toys for the SPCA and writing letters to soldiers.
We need some extra entertainment for the children who are coming and are hoping to find 1-2 volunteer face painters! If you are interested in volunteering for this, please contact Jessica Snyder (jsnyder@unitedwaytja.org) for more details!
