The Back to School Bash is a community-wide event that helps students and families start the school year with the supplies, resources, and support they need. This year, we expect to distribute approximately 2,000 backpacks, along with other supplies and materials, to families during the event.
Event day volunteers may be asked to help with family navigation, backpack and distribution, vendor support, set-up, or clean-up. We will do our best to match volunteers with roles that fit their interests, skills, and comfort level, while also making sure the event runs smoothly for families.
When you sign up, please leave a note with the following information:
- Your preferred volunteer role, if you have one.
- Your t-shirt size.
- Whether you speak any languages other than English.
- Any accessibility accommodations or needs we should be aware of.
We are especially grateful for volunteers to help families feel welcomed, supported, and confident as they move through the event. Whether you are greeting families, handing out backpacks, helping organizations get settled, supporting communication across languages, or helping us clean up at the end of the day, your time makes a real difference.
