The Back to School Bash is a community-wide event that helps students and families start the school year with the supplies, resources, and support they need. This year, we expect to prepare and distribute approximately 2,000 backpacks, along with other supplies and materials, to families during the event.
Saturday set-up volunteers will help us get the event space ready before families arrive on Sunday. Tasks may include setting up tables and chairs, organizing backpack distribution areas, staging supplies, placing signs, preparing volunteer check-in areas, supporting organization/vendor table set-up, and helping make sure the event layout is welcoming, organized, and easy for families to navigate.
This role may involve standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, moving materials, or working as part of a team. We will have a variety of tasks available and will do our best to match volunteers with work that fits their ability and comfort level.
