Volunteers help make the Expo a success!
- Help us encourage high school students explore career opportunities with 50 businesses and employers.
- 2,000 high school students from around the region will have the unique opportunity to interact with businesses and employers from 16 career cluster areas, learn about financial management, and speak with educators about post-secondary educational needs.
- We need “youth-friendly” volunteers to greet and guide student groups to each station, welcome exhibitors, and assist with set-up and logistical event needs.
- Join us for 2 or 3 hour blocks on Oct 31 or Nov 1. Please see suggested time blocks below. (However, we can accommodate different schedule needs.)
Location: UVa Newcomb Hall
Tuesday, Oct. 31: 6:45-9 a.m., 8:45-11:45 a.m., 11:30-2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 1: 7:30-10 a.m., 9:30-11:30 a.m., 11:30-2:30 p.m.
Volunteers receive free breakfast and a delicious lunch.

The 10th Grade Biz Kid$ Career Pathways Expo is offered in partnership with Piedmont Virginia Community College, University of Virginia Community Credit Union, Albemarle, Charlottesville, Greene and Nelson County school districts, local businesses and educators. Thanks to our new event partner, UVA Community Credit Union, students will have a greater understanding of the financial consequences and economic impact of career and education training choices, which increases their opportunity for future career success.
