Hope's Legacy Equine Rescue welcomes you to our home base, Castle Rock Farm, in Afton, Virginia! Since 2008 we have rescued over 365 horses, mules, minis and donkeys throughout Virginia. Lots of work goes into helping these animals recuperate while they wait for a new adoptive home!
Will you and your family help us mulch flower beds, muck paddocks, and do general farm chores around Castle Rock Farm on Saturday May 1st, from 9AM to Noon? If you don't know how to use a pitchfork we will teach you!
Please note:
- liability waiver needs to be signed. Parents do need to sign a waiver for each child coming to the Farm.
- Attendees also please bring work gloves, wear long sturdy pants like jeans, closed-toed shoes and a hat.
- Sun screen and tick repellent will be provided.
- Lunch will be provided! Please let us know if you have any specific dietary needs.
The rewards for coming to our work day are many: Castle Rock Farm is a calm, peaceful getaway from the busy city. You will meet the animals who are currently staying with us - they love to meet new visitors! And we will serve LUNCH after!
