Join us for a trail maintenance work party of one stretch of the 25 mile Rivanna Trail! Everyone is welcome, and we have tasks suitable for all ages and skill levels (clipping briars, carving out trail surfaces, fighting back invasive plants, etc).
Wear closed toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Tools and work gloves will be provided though you may prefer work gloves from home.
This is a family friendly event; we have tasks suitable for all ages and skill levels though volunteers must be able to work independently and there will be sharp tools nearby.
Please note this event is on January 8th
Address and Directions:
Our gathering point is at the RTF equipment shed at 2030 Morton Drive, just past Bodo's and behind the English Inn, next to the Meadowcreek Gardens. We meet at the tool shed at 8:45 and carpool to the work site in Charlottesville.
