Join Rivanna Trails Foundation for a trail work party held on the Rivanna Trail's Rt 20 to Woolen Mills segment. We hope to finish spreading the last section with gravel to smooth out the trail. We'll be shuttling wheelbarrow loads to finish off a trail surface improvement project.
We'll meet directly at the Wool Factory, 1837 Broadway Street, at 9:00am in front of the large footbridge over the river. If volunteers arrive late, they should cross the footbridge, turn right, and continue along the Rivanna Trail for about a mile until they reach the gravel pile and busy volunteers. We'll work until around 11:30 and walk back to the cars by noon.
Please wear work gloves and clothes suitable for getting dirty in a forest environment. We will have tools and wheelbarrows on hand, as well as gloves for those who need them.
