Communities In Schools NOVA (CIS NOVA)

Communities In Schools helps connect students in need with caring adults, community resources, and support systems to keep them in school and on track to graduation.

We work within public school systems, establishing relationships with Superintendents, Principals, Educators and Community Partners to address both individual student as well as school-wide needs. We combine the art of one-on-one relationships with the science of proven, evidence-based programs, and mobilize community resources and proven programs to achieve results and remove barriers that keep students from succeeding in school and life. Our evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community’s unique needs, is the basis for our success. Many children face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Through a school-based Site Coordinator, Communities In Schools strategically aligns and delivers needed resources so that students can focus on learning.
